@techie: LISA FRANK!!! completley forgot about that.  I had a dress that my best friend used to refer to it as “your lisa frank dress”.  I completely forgot about that dress until now.  I also just remembered I had oversided blazers with shoulder pads that I wore over leggings…that was twenty years ago…and I am wearing it yet again minus the shoulder pads.

laughng out loud at all of the above!

you know you’re old when you mention that cars windows once had to be hand-cranked and the kid looks at you like you’re an alien.

@Coffee cup: “if the Backstreet Boys were a band or something and if it were famous in their time.”  my heart just sank a little.

This post is great! Really takes me back…. I remember slap bracelets, tye-dye one piece jumpsuits and scrunch socks being the most awesome things ever.

My youngest brother (the baby in the family) is quite a bit younger than me, and I actually said to him a few weeks ago “You know when I was your age…”

GROAN.

Also I was quite shocked to see a 5 year old on Halloween dressed as a pimp, and I was ranting to my husband like “Do you believe that?! Gah, parents these days, I swear, it’s just so inappropriate!” and he was looking at me like I was crazy. I’m sure he was thinking “Oh crap she’s turned into her mother…”

@CountryGirl80: I definitely just rocked the Roger Rabbit in a dance circle at my brother-in-law’s wedding this past weekend…I feel old.

Oh, and I definitely saw NKOTB (you’re old if you know what that stands for) and Backstreet Boys this year and had a BLAST!

You know you’re old if you recognize this sound:

@techie: I totally forgot about Lisa Frank!!!! I had Lisa Frank pencils, folders, notebooks….Man, I used to be sooooo cool!

Now Fiance and I won’t even go out to dinner and movie on weekends because we don’t want to deal with all the kids. They are just so damn annoying!

Oh…two words…. stirrup pants! Please tell me I wasn’t the only one who had stirrup pants.
