- Wedding: August 2018 - Banquet Hall/Conference Center
Is this a thing in anyone’s family, where guests from the bride’s side get one custom invitation and guests from the groom’s side get a different invitation, and friends get a third separate invitation (optional)? Personally I don’t like the idea, but in my family/culture there’s a certain formal ettiquette to doing invitations as well as pertinent family background information that has to be included (like names of all your familial lineage and such), which might not be relevant to the other side, and certainly not to friends.
Anyone heard of this? just curious. Did you go with multiple? My cousin explained why the system is the way it is, but it just seemed wrong to me to split invitations like that when a wedding is about two people and two families coming together.
