I am trying to tell my boyfriend what type of ring I want and he is concerned with the price. Please post a picture of your ring ON YOUR HAND if you have a split shank with a round stone.
I am interested in a round stone (no halo) with pave on the bands,
Carat weight (center stone and total)
price (if you know)
Where it was purchased

I know you said no halo, but it may be able to give you an idea of the size on finger and split shank
Center stone: .75 ct
Total: 1.5 ct
Ring size: 5.5
Bought from Kay

Thank you for the gorgeous pictures! I would love to see something without the Halo to see if 1 ct would be a good size for my chubby size 7 fingers. I don’t want my Boyfriend or Best Friend to have to spend extra money on carats if it’s not necessary

@sgreene511: diamdb.com let’s you compare different cuts to see how they face up on any size finger. Hope it helps! PS – I wear size 7 and have a 1ct round (but w/ a double halo) and I think 1 ct is the perfect size for an e-ring.

Hi! I have a split shank ring and absolutely love it! My ring size is 6 3/4 but my fingers fluctuate a lotttt depening on the temperature. I wasn’t sure which carat size to go for but my fiance ended up choosing an amazing diamond!
Here’s my setting:
It really all depends on what your budget is. My fiance opted for a better cut over a larger diamond, and I think it really shows. The setting definitely showcases my diamond and I’m so happy with it! Good luck!!!!

@diamondsforevershine: do you have a picture of your whole hand? I’d love to see how the size of the diamond compares. thank you!!

@RunningBride07: This is STUNNING! My SO is in law school at Georgetown and unfortunately doesn’t have a job lined up once he graduates… buying a ring is definitely NOT his top priority, but I know we are ready so I could definitely consider a smaller carat size. I love this look so much. Have you picked out your wedding band yet?

@sgreene511: Thank you 🙂 I haven’t picked my band out yet but I think I’ll go with a plain one (something like this: http://www.ritani.com/wedding-rings/women-s-classic-knife-edge-wedding-band-in-platinum/6014) I really liked the look of a diamond band with it but since I work in a lab I think I’ll get a classic plain band!
