@Bunney Love: I would contact the photographer & let them know I was interested & if there is anyone who is booking a hotel that you may be able to split the cost? Also, some photographers will give you a discount if you & a friend do it back to back. You don’t have to be in each other’s pics or anything. Do you have any friends you could do this with?

Just note it could be risky, if you split it with someone you don’t know, you’re there in the morning & leave & someone comes in the afternoon & they break something, you may be held responsible. I know its nothing alike, but I had a bad roomie experience, where I left everything clean & they stayed there 15 more days & I was charged hundreds of dollars due to the way it was left :(.

@Bunney Love: I know. ๐Ÿ™  I looked and I don’t think we have it in our budget right now, what with gas prices and everything.  I live in Waynesboro and it’s like a four hour drive up there!

I’ll mention it, though! I promise!!!!  It might work, since he wants to go up to visit some friends…  doubtful, but I will ask. ๐Ÿ™‚

And I think I’d go the way @canthugallcats: mention, too.  That way there won’t be any issues with the hotel or anything.  It would probably also be easier for the photog, too.  (Besides, I think I’d rather have another girl around to help with being a complete chicken about it, lol).

@Bunney Love: Did you call and speak to a hotel manager about what you want to do? A lot of times if you agree to do the shoot during the day on a weekday they will actually give you a cheaper rate for this, since you won’t actually be staying.  I was a marketing manager and we would rent spaces all the time for photo shoots.

Have you seen more boudoir samples than is on her website?  I only see 2 images and they are quite poor.  The first one, I am not sure what they are trying to do, and the second one the left leg looks amputated in the pose.

I know it’s only 100 dollars, but you are paying for the room and what does it matter how little you paid for images you don’t like?

@USER876: Agreed. I didn’t check out the photog’s site til you said this.

Just so you know, you do NOT get prints or a cd included in the $100, those cost at least $15 extra each print (doesn’t specify size so I’m assuming 4×6, which is pretty expensive for a 4×6)!

If I were you, I’d pay more for a photographer & less for a room. A great photog can make a cheaper room look amazing.

@USER876:  I just wanted to point out that I so appreciate your blunt honesty.  I had to check out the website to see — yep, you pretty much nailed it with your reviews of the two photos shown.

@Bunney Love – I would find other boudoir photographers in your area.  Great tip from mwitter80 – call hotels and see if they’ll give you a deal for an afternoon shoot.
