I’m not planning on having much wedding day jewelry, but because I’m not, I’m investing in some nice solitaire earrings. Don’t think I’ll have anything else? Is that too plain?

loveydove :  I don’t wear much jewelry and only wore earrings on my wedding day. They were $20 and I looooved them. Costume all the way!

I wore costume jewelry that I purchased through J. Crew Factory. My forever jewelry is my e-ring and wedding band and that’s enough for me.

I was going to go with flashy costume jewelry, butttttttt my fiancé surprised me with a matching set of Disney enchanted rose gold earrings and necklace 😍

My wedding day jewelery was all heirloom pieces. I don’t tend to like costume jewelery but we couldn’t afford to splurge. So my grandmother lent me the earrings she wore on her wedding day, my husband’s grandmother lent me the necklace she wore on her wedding and my mother in law lent me her bracelet she wore on her 25th year anniversary.

Mine will be forever pieces. I’m going for classic pearls. My FH wants to gift them to me for our day.

I’m not sure exactly what constitutes costume jewelry, but I will be wearing a sterling silver and blue sapphire necklace, bracelet, and right hand ring. (I don’t have my ears pierced and plan to wear my hair down anyways.)

To me sterling silver is forever jewelry. My Fiance gave me the ring on our first Christmas together and the necklace our first Valentine’s Day together. And I bought the bracelet as a Birthday gift to myself last year. Blue sapphire is my favorite stone and one of our wedding colors is blue, so it seems fitting to me 🙂

I’d like to get a peice of fine jewelry to wear on my wedding day. Something simple like pearl or aquamarine drop earrings. My aunt wants to lend my my grandma’s pearls to wear as my “something borrowed” if they look well with whatever dress I choose. So that might give room in the budget for a “forever” piece of my own to wear on the day.

I just wore my mom’s pearl earrings, as I really dislike the look when brides go overboard with multiple accessories. And also when trying to stick to a reasonable wedding budget, new jewelry was on the very bottom of my list! It was really special and sentimental to wear something of my mother’s for my “something borrowed”.

I went with costume jewelry. I already had a few classic pieces (pearls, diamond pieces) but they weren’t the look that I was going for, and I didn’t want to splurge at the time, as I was in grad school making barely any money. I still wear it all from time to time.

Costume or things I already had! Earrings and hair pins from Etsy. Pearl bracelet is real (gift from husband several years ago). I loved my jewelry and especially how little I spent on it (about $50/each for Etsy items).
