I wore Costume jewelry but I wish I had splurged on at least sterling silver and fresh water pearls that way I could preserve them and give my daughters the option of wearing it. I did save a tiara which should hold up. I might buy replicas in silver so they can become heirloom pieces. I’d say get something that’s “real” but reasonable like sterling silver, lab made gems, fresh water pearls

Mine is costume I guess. I have three pairs of pearl earrings to choose from; all cost £20. I’m unlikely to wear any regularly as pearls aren’t my style (I wear plain white/yellow gold sleeper hoops 24/7) but the pearls really do suit the dress.
I’m not wearing a necklace at all – I did buy a topaz one (before settling on pearl earrings) but it doesn’t suit. It wasn’t expensive – £50 – so I’m not bothered about not using it and I have worn it day to day.
My ring felt like a bit of a splurge but in the grand scheme of things, both my rings together only cost £1000 so that’s not excessive.
I did buy a watch which was £60 – it’s nice and I’ll probably wear it a lot, but again not expensive.

I wore costume jewelry. Had I splurged I would have chosen something I could wear daily such as pearls or diamond studs/hoops.
