Cramping in early pregnancy is normal. Also remember if you’re spotting brown blood that is old blood. I wouldn’t worry unless it turns red and becomes heavy.

@FutureMrsWillard88:  Did you call your doc? This happened to me at about 7 weeks and I went in for an ultrasound just to be on the safe side. You said you’re waiting for an appointment. Was this after you spoke to your doc?

And some women spot during their pregnancy and are ok. I was further along and it happened again. I was cramping a little and spotting. I laid down and took it easy and I was ok.

But I would say to put your mind at ease to call your doc and tell them what’s going on.

I’m 36w and have had cramps off and on the whole time. My Dr. tells me that it is just your body stretching.

Brown is old that’s not super abnormal so early in the pregnancy. Could be from implantation. Just try to relax & wait for your ob to call. They’ll probably run blood work to check your levels.

Not going to say it is good or bad, but brown spotting in pregnancy is pretty common – it could just be implanting deeper! I think you will be fine, but definitely good to get into your OB to make sure

It’s very common!  I spotted with DS until my 3rd month and this time around even longer, until my 6th.  Baby is right on track 🙂

I heard that bright red blood is the concern. Especially if you are 3 weeks along, the egg is still borrowing it’s way in the womb and your uterus is growing. I also heard that brown blood is common and a speckle of blood is not so much of concern. Good luck!

@FutureMrsWillard88:  is there an urgent care you can go to? I wouldn’t be able to wait 2 weeks to see the doctor!

Are you 3 weeks from the point of conception or from your last period?
