Just try to relax, I know it has to be hard but it will help if you stress too much you could cause unnecessary problems. Just listen to your doctor, because it could be normal. i had my period 3 or 4 months into being pregnant than was spotting here and there after and my daughter was completely fine. Do not write it off though, if it continues I would look into it more. I hope everything is fine =)

Unless you’re in pain I’d wait till Monday to call the doctor, especially since your doc told you that. There is such a wide range of what’s “normal” with pregnancy that it’s hard to know when something is wrong, but listen to your body.

I spotted. My dr told me it was the blood from when implantation took place, and my body was just getting rid of it. I had a good pregnancy too 🙂 So, try to relax, I know it is hard, and then just give your dr a call on monday.

I hope everything is ok, good luck this weekend. I hope you’re resting up and trying to relax as much as possible. It seems like it’s somewhat common, or at least it’s not out of the ordinary. I imagine how stressed you must feel about it, so I hope there’s someone taking good care of you right now!

I spotted after intercourse (not right after, but several hours later). Doc wasn’t worried, but told me to lay off the sex for a while and I teased my husband about “bruising my cervix.”

I would insist on going in, as you never know. My last pregnancy I had some spotting, very light and only for a few hours, no pain. I didn’t go in b/c they said it was normal, and I found out at my 12 week apt. that my baby had passed at 6 weeks, we never had any other symptoms. I don’t want to scare you, but I wouldn’t want you to think everything’s fine and then go in to hear the heartbeat and have to deal with not hearing it.

I’m now 15 weeks pregnant and had some spotting at about 5 1/2 weeks for this one. I went in right away of course, but this time it was fine.

So you never know, I’d rather be safe then sorry though.

I had some spotting that started right about 5.5 weeks.  Mine was very light and brown.  It started on a Sunday and I called the dr. on Monday.  They asked me some questions (did I have intercourse?  Is there cramping? ) all my answers were no.  They got me in on Monday afternoon (I had been in the previous Thursday for u/s).  Did an u/s everything looked ok.  Throughout the week i had several blood test to check HCG levels and they were not doubling.  Went back to the dr on Friday (convinced I was miscarrying).  Had another u/s and everything looked ok (saw heartbeat!).  Dr. decided to stop testing my blood and just wait and see what happened.  We went in a week later and had another u/s and everything measured on schedule, nice strong heartbeat.  That was all about 2 weeks ago.  I am about to enter my 9th week and as far as I know everything is okay.  Btw, it took about 2 weeks for the spotting to stop.  I still have no idea what caused it.  It could have even been all the ultra sounds!

You are right, this often is very normal!  Hang in there until Monday and talk to your Dr.

It is normal, but keep in touch with your doctor about it.  Remember that if the worst is happening, there is nothing that you’ve done wrong and there is nothing you can do to stop it (I know, I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks a few months ago).  Just rest, hydrate and try not to drive yourself too crazy.  Good luck to you!

I spotted a little around week 5.  I actually assumed it was the start of my period.  But, it was just a couple drops of pink and it was done.  I went to the doctor 8 weeks later and everything was a-ok.  No worries, I’m sure it’s all normal stuff.

I had the same thing happen. I spotted, went to the ER, everything was fine! 🙂 I am on Prometrium now since the dr said it was borderline, but we may be the few women who spot the whole time.

It can be totally normal. If you are having a miscarriage, it won’t be subtle…you’ll be sure. And that’s ok, although it’s horrible to go through. Whatever happens, just remember that about 15% of pregnancies do not go through and that it happens to most women who have children at least once.

a little bit of spotting is normal, however, cramping and passing clots is worrisome.  it’s usually just a “subchorionic hematoma” and nothing to be worried about…it’s the most common cause of 1st trimester bleeding.
