I would pump the brakes on getting married and work on these issues before you finally commit.

We shareshare share everything. We have a joint bank account that both our wages go in to and bills come out of, then we put some in savings and sped the rest between us. This works great for us as neither of us take advantage ( eg going on massive spending sprees) and it was no problem when I earned more money and no problem now he earns more money :). Would this not work for you?

How about you’re married and in it together, so the money is all joint?

Depending on what state you live in, the law looks at it that way anyway – regardless of how you divvy it up (unless there’s a prenup). Something to think about. Seems like you’re keeping her at a financial arm’s length, which would be a no-go with me.

My Fiance and I have a joint bank account and the bills get taken out of that. We don’t have money problems at all and it really helps us to track our money better. If we want to buy something we do and if the other person has an objection to it we talk about the pros and cons until someone’s mind changes. No arguements, no problems. My parents did it this way and his parents do it this way as well
