Should I go get a spray tan for my wedding or should I go tanning in a salon? I know tanning beds are not the safes option and I feel my baking days at the beach are over?
Should I get a spray tan, if yes which one? Will it rub off on my dress? Or should I just suck it up and go to a tanning salon?

I never liked spray tans, they always looked so fake. And you will always smudge it some how, and also when it fades it looks really gross. I rather do a tanning bed for a month.

I’d rule out the tanning salon all together. Melanoma (skin cancer) runs in my family!

@EuropeanBride: I would never set foot in a tanning salon again! They are just sooo bad for your skin. I am doing custom spray tanning – where a person sprays you instead of going into the booth/machine. I’ve had the custom spray tan several times and it’s a million times better than doing the booth/machine spray tan. I would research reputable places in your area. I found my girl on yelp!

@s.renea9: Have you ever done the capsule? The one that you get tan in standing? If you did? Do you like it?

@AshleyR83: Does it rub off? How many days before the wedding you think I should do it?

@EuropeanBride: I have never done that one, But my friend has and she loved it.

I am familiar with Tanning Beds… having done that before (may not do that again, as it is true they do expose one to a lot of concentrated UV rays).
Not so familiar with spray tans (booths or with a specialist). Would someone please explain the process to me (ie if you use a booth where do you undress, down to what? And how long do you need to wait to dry off before getting dressed)
Any info much appreciated, thanks.
