Im thinking about having a spray tan done for the wedding- the kind with a person spraying you individually. Im going to do a trial but i wanted to know about your experiences with it? When should i go.. day before wedding 2 days? And will I have problems if it will be hot and humid the day of the wedding? How do you handle it if it’s not even etc!?

I have only spray tanned once so far…I actually have an appointment tomorrow night! I used the booth where it sprays you four times and the place I went to was awesome. Make sure you exfoliate well beforehand so that it goes on evenly. If you notice spots that aren’t even afterwards I would call them up and tell them so they can fix it. I think 3 days before would be safe then you can fix any touch ups or dark spots if needed.
You asked about sweating too-I went for a run 4 days after my spray tan in 80 degree weather and ended up with streaks down my elbows because I sweated so badly. I was able to wash it off and scrub it up but you may want to talk to them about that too. Good luck!

I would go for a test a few weeks before the wedding, that way you can see how your skin reacts to the spray. (i.e.: it doesn’t look yellow, it’s not patchy) I have had spray tans done before, via the mystic tan not people spraying me. I used to live in Florida at teh time and the humidity there never made it streak or rub off on my clothes. I would get it done the two days before hand so that way it has had enough time to get to the final color. Don’t exfoliate afterwards, you’ll scrub the color off and it’ll look patchy. Use tinted lotion, like Olay Body Quench tinted lotion, to make sure your color remains smooth and your skin is hydrated.

I got really orange on my face when I got it done for my engagement pictures. I scrubbed my face about 20 times (really, no exaggeration) to get it back to a “normal” color. Definitely do a trial, but I also recommend using the wet towel they give you to wipe your hands to wipe your face with. The rest of my body looked ok.
Oh, except the floor of the machine got all the spray residue, and I had a weird tan on the bottom of my feet! It was kind of funny…
