Great, thanks for starting! And for your info on your decision. It helped solidify my initial reaction, which was the same as yours… that we don’t want the added stress. It would be different if it told you something for sure, but I don’t like the statistic it simply gives you. Plus 1/70000 or something is still a possibiilty. I don’t know. I could totally understand doing it but I think at this point it makes sense for us to skip it. I think I may feel differently with subsequent children (when I’m in my 30’s) but maybe not, even.

As for me, I’m also 10 weeks 4 days and due on March 1st. This makes my baby also prune-sized! (Still haven’t figured out my ticker). And I am bummed to report that after a week and a half or so respite, my nausea is back full-force!

Woo! New thread. I don’t really have much to add other than… I’m getting my first U/S tomorrow!

Yay for part 2!  Perhaps at some point there should be a list of the ladies who are a part of this thread and their due dates.  On second thought, maybe that list should wait until we’re all out of our first trimesters.  Don’t want to jinx anything…

As I think I mentioned in the last thread, I just started with the “morning” sickness phase in the last couple of days.  Does it tend to get worse before it gets better?  I’m worried b/c I’ll be traveling for work all next week, and sitting on a panel each day from 9 to 5.  Things are going to get pretty interesting if I’m feeling worse than I already do now.  I’m already noticing that having small snacks at regular intervals throughout the day are helping.  I wonder if anyone on the panel will look at me strangely if I bring my own cottage cheese and saltines to the meeting!

@skibobrown: You may get lucky and not have it. I’m almost 7 weeks, and no sign of vomiting yet, just nausea. *knock on wood*

@zippylef: I’m hoping I continue to have the same experience.  So far no vomiting… but I’m super nauseous.  Controling the nausea with constant small snacks seems to be the key, even when I don’t want to eat anything, which is all the time!

Btw, the story for next week just got worse.  I checked the schedule, and our days run from 8 AM until 7:30 PM.  Couple that with exhaustion and nausea, plus a 3-hour time zone change for me.  I’m going to need some major strength to get through the week!

@Navy_Wife: I know, right?! I think there are even a couple more that haven’t stumbled upon the thread yet.
