@heathaah: I am hit and miss with the heartburn, but it is the first time in my life I have ever had heartburn, so it is seriously distressing. Plus I am already on Zantac for the morning sickness, so I can’t imagine what it would feel like without it.

@heathaah:I’m getting the heartburn and the reflux–hate it! Sometimes I just feel like my food is stuck in my throat and ready to come back up for HOURS, other times I get that fun burning sensation with it. Tums have worked for me, although only for about an hour after I take them. Sometimes a glass of milk or some ice cream does the trick, too.

I also don’t remember who mentioned it on thread 7, but yes to the nosebleed thing, I’ve gotten quite a few in the last month or so. SO not fun!

I finally have a real baby belly now at 23 weeks! The doc actually measured it for the first time at today’s appt. It’s measuring just a teeny bit small, more like 22 weeks, but it’s there!

Thanks for starting the new thread miss-spunkin, I can’t even open the old one to see the latest comments!

I am having a resurgence of exhaustion- not sure if it’s because I haven’t been sleeping as well or if it’s just the way it will be from now on. The baby wakes me up now with his/her movements in the night! So crazy! S/he is getting soo strong. I’m obsessed with feeling the movements.

Has anyone gotten their husbands books to read? I know there was a thread or two on here at one point but I want to get Darling Husband a good book and I’m not sure which one to get. Thoughts?

Nevermind, I just ordered him “The Birth Partner” by Penny Simkin. He’s already read a funny dad’s book and to be honest too many of those feel like overkill. I’m hoping this one is serious and informative.

I also was able to open our old thread, @miss-spunkin: thanks for the nursery compliment! I am pleased with it so far but it definitely needs a splash of another color. I don’t really know what to do because I want to get it done, but I also kind of want to wait to see what the baby is. Sigh.

Thanks for opening the new thread! I haven’t commented in days because it was such a pain to open.

@AvantLaLettre: I bought my husband http://www.amazon.com/Birth-Partner-Everything-Through-Childbirth/dp/1558320105, though I highly doubt he will read it. He never reads and it’s actually a rather large book, but I’m hoping I can get him to skim it at some point. It has excellent reviews.

And the news in my life is that I have offically popped. Like 19 weeks hit and I blew up. It’s still all in my stomach, thank God, but I’m stating to freak out about it a little. I get nervous seeing myself naked in the mirror because I look so different. My husband is totally digging it, though. Creeper. 🙂

Also, I still have only gained 2 pounds. My doctor said not to worry, but I have a 20 week checkup tomorrow and will ask about it again.

@zippylef,

What?? I was under the impression the conversion kit came with?? Do you know how much the kit is?

@Marriedandlovingit:

For me at about 15/16 weeks my energy came back. I’m staying up later now than I did pre-pregnancy! It’s kinda crazy!

@heathaah:

Not so much heartburn for me but every couple days -it comes and go- after eating I will be SO bloated and gassy it’s ridiculously uncomfortable.

@Marriedandlovingit: I’m still exhausted, too! I thought it would go away, but I find myself waking up on the couch all the time now.

I have an OB appt. this afternoon and am going to talk to him mroe about birth and my wish for no to low intervention. This is also a big week for us as we have 2 doula interviews this weekend and an orientation for a birthing center (my dream of a water birth would be a possibility here).a

@regberadaisy: Yay Team Purple!
