It is very exciting!!! Has anyone started having their OB appointments every 2 weeks yet? Is it still the same as the previous appointments?

@bells:  I’ve started my 2 week appointments, been doing them since…28 weeks I think?  Maybe a bit earlier.  They were the same as the monthly appointments.

Now I’m going every week twice a week until delivery, I’ll be having a NST and doctor’s appointment every Tuesday, and an ultrasound Every Friday.  I’m 32 weeks, so I could potentially be having quite a few appointments like this!

Thanks for all of the nice comments re: my bump!  Underneath the clothing is some crazy leg (and a little arm) cellulite.  Happy it’s not summer…

I’m still in middle of second trimester land, so still on the once every 4 week appointments until the end of Feb.

@AvantLaLettre:

Craziness! I think the first to have the baby should start a Spring Babies REVEAL 2012 thread! πŸ™‚ Ya know crossing from pregnancy into babies board. πŸ˜€

 @bells:

This Thursday is my last 4 week appointment then it’s every 2 weeks. CRAZY!!!

I am 26 weeks and growing impatient for 40 weeks! I’m not one of those ladies that loves being pregnant. I want to meet our little man and spoil him already. I’m having second thoughts on the name we picked out, Jarrett Cooper. I told my husband last night and he is open to other names. We just need to agree on one! I like the names Colin and Nolan. I still like Cooper for a middle name though. I somehow gained 5 lbs in 2 days. I hope that is just water retention, bc that hurt to see this morning.

Yay!  It’s crazy to think back to the early days of this thread.  I can’t wait for the first of the spring babies to be born.  I’m looking forward to all of the baby pics and birth stories!  I’m 30 weeks now and about to start with the 2-week doctor’s appointments.  This past week we’ve been interviewing doulas, and I think we have chosen one, so I’m really excited.  Also, we’re flying back to Boston later this week for our shower this weekend.

Hi guys! Its been so long. I am 34 weeks this week and on my 2 week appt as well. After the next its every week. My husband and i did a birth class (kind of waste of time ha) which was very hands off and then I have a breast feeding class this wednesday. I feel like its REAL!

This weekend my hub painted the baby room and yesterday I bought a travelers set. It is soooo weird to see a stroller in my house haha. I am getting soooo excited and ready to meet our daughter. Cant wait to put the babys room together I am really happy with everything we have decided on thus far. Crib will be delivered on Friday.

Can I ask you guys how much you spent on your glider? We didnt have a baby shower so trying to stick to a budget but there is one that I am in love with thtat is $380. Is that outrageous???

it’s been a while for me too. i’m 26 weeks 3 days, and i feel like i just found out we were expecting our little peanut! i feel great except for back/hip paint that’ i’ve had for almost 2 months now. but other than that everything is going great. the baby is getting more and more active and i love it! if he doesn’t move constantly i get worried, but when he’s jabbing me it’s like ‘knock it off’ lol

this weekend my husband was hard at work starting to paint the baby’s room and i’m starting on making a rug for the room. we finished registering this past weekend, which was fun and so stressful at the same time! :o)

after my next appointment on the 7th i start every 2 weeks, that’s when i know it’s going to hit me that it’s getting close!

@AvantLaLettre:  yay for home stretch! So excited to have a REAL BABY soon. I said to my husband this morning, I have a REAL baby in my tummy, like he could be born TODAY and he’d be alive and well! It’s so weird to think of having a child.

@bells:  Yup! I started back at 28 weeks, and in just 1.5 weeks I start WEEKLY appointments (starting at 36 weeks)!! YAY! They aren’t a whole lot different, it’s just that we have to be monitored more closely. We still do the routine, weight, Bridal Party, temp, pulse, FHT, fundal height, baby’s position, and any questions I may have. We usually have some type of test of talk about or something like that.

@Marriedandlovingit:  Oh.em.gee ME TOO. I feel guilty saying it, but I really haven’t liked being pregnant at all. Some  days I feel good and I say, oh I love this. But that is like once a month maybe? I have been in pain everyday of the pregnancy, there is always something wrong. And I am ACHING to fit back into my MEK and silver jeans! haha

We had baby name “cold feet” too. I got really hormonal about it. But the ladies here on the bee really helped me, and everyone loved the name so that made me feel a million times better. We announced it at my first shower on Saturday and seeing the positive responses from all my friends really strengthened our decision that we made the right choice!

I think Jarrett is cute πŸ™‚

@skibobrown:  Wow!! big trip! good luck πŸ™‚ I hope you feel well for it.

@nonoame:  Yay! It does start feeling real the more baby stuff we get. Well… our glider was a splurge for us. We are on a crazy tight budget too. But I really didn’t like the classic wood gliders most people get, I wanted something really nice and cozy. So my husband saved some extra money and got me an upholstered glider. It was $450, and that was the sample sale floor model! We also got an additional discount for paying in cash. This was from a local business (not like BRU), so they could do things like that.. do you have any local baby store businesses? Call and ask if they’re willing to sell a floor model. This store was getting all new models, so they had several on clearance. So no, $380 isn’t too much πŸ™‚

@nonoame:

The glider & ottoman I like is under $150 and my husband wants to buy it for me even though ILs have offered to purchase all nursery furniture. hehe.

Our crib & dresser arrived!! But I can’t see it for like another month. Sigh. We delievered it to my husband’s work because there’s no room at home and we don’t want it at the new house until all the walls are painted and the floor is in.

 @sarbear2814:

How are you making a rug?? I’m intrigued! I want a star shaped rug so when we find a regular rug in the right color my husband is going to cut it then we are going to send it out to get bound. Otherwise it will be too $$$.
