Spring is here and with it comes all things FASHION! Seeing as how all the “spring fashion looks” are out I thought this would be a good time to share our own unique styles. I always love borrowing unique trends and ideas from real people rather than from high fashion because it just seems more genuine to me. Now don’t get me wrong I do love some good Vogue or InStyle, but lets get real….are you really going to wear that crazy neon orange dress and bright green tights to work with a pair of 6 inch wedges? All the power to you if you do, but I think for most of us showing our style sense is a little more subtle.
I am by no means a self-proclaimed fashionista, but I enjoy seeing new fabrics, rich colors, and bold patterns as the styles and seasons change. I love how fashion can be an expression of your personality and even more I love seeing people take pleasure in showing their uniqueness through their fashion choices.
If you want to join in please tell me what your “fashion style” is and add some photos either of you or your inspirations. I am cleaning my closet out and adding some new pieces for the warmer weather (as I am sure many of you are), so let’s inspire each other 🙂
I will start: My “fashion style” is very classic and feminine. I love having a classy romantic look about my outfits, but I am also not afraid to step outside of the box once in a while. My favourite colors are jewel tones and I generally gravitate to pinks, purples, and reds. Day-to-day you will usually find me in a pair of dark slim fit jeans coupled with a blouse and cardigan and maybe some cute flats or pumps. I love really girly tops that have delicate details like eyelet lace, flower appliques, or pretty beading and embroidery. I’m also a fan of dresses of any style! When going out for a nice dinner or out on the town I sometimes move towards a more fashion forward look. I love metallic skyscaper pumps, or strappy anklet wedges. If I’m feeling daring enough I will rock a cut out dress, or bandage style skirt. Right now I am a big fan of all the retro looks that have come out recently too. My “fashion style” is ever evolving, but this gives you a bit of an idea 🙂
