I’m looking for some ideas for a color palette for a May/June reception in a barn. I was thinking mint and coral, but not sure if a barn reception is too rustic for that? I would love to incorporate succulents in some way, maybe having that act as the mint, and something else as a pop of color.

Any colors you want will be 100% fine. No one sits around and says “yeah, it was a great wedding but her mint palette really clashed with the building”
Succulents come in a huge variety of greens, too. I had them in my bouquet in 3 shades, one of which had a red outline. I also had our group wear “autumn” colors. I got tons of compliments on the color scheme. Really, people don’t think about this stuff as hard as brides do!

- Wedding: June 2018 - Beautiful Barn
I had a barn wedding in June and did lilacs and other light purples with whites/greens – honestly you can do whatever you want – as said above, no one will think a colour looks odd at a barn wedding!
Pick what you love as it’s you and your husband who will look at the photos most after the day – no one else will really be that bothered (meant in a nice way) as it’s more the day that people remember rather than the decor if that makes sense! So bear in mind that you’ll be the one seeing these things after the day the most, so don’t worry what others think.

Most colours will be fine – I’m having a barn wedding too and we’ve picked cobalt, ice blue, cornflower and cream.

Were having a barn wedding may 2019 and we are doing coral and grays. Spring means bright colors and coral has always been one of my favorites!

I think it would be so pretty!

I’m doing a barn wedding and am more focused on materials than colors. I’ve gotten a lot of inspiration from this chalkboard site: https://brittneyziebell.com/event-boards-1 . For me, I think it’s just important to include a lot of natural elements (woods/greenery/flowers).
