I have a blackberry, which is great for the email, but I like to surf the internet a lot, which a touch screen is better for. So, if you go with the blackberry, I’d say get the new one with the touch screen and keyboard if you like to email and surf the web on your phone.
I will say, I was exclusively a sanyo user until i needed the additional features of a blackberry that I felt no sanyo’s had at the time. I NEVER had any issues with sanyo phones, they all were great quality and lasted years of rough handling. I don’t know about their new smartphones though.

I have an HTC hero but want the new 4G one, my husband has the palm pre – it’s pretty nice and I’d get one of those except I don’t like it’s keyboard.

I love my blackberry. I actually usually access wedding bee on it. My blackberry has taken quite a few licks and kept on ticking. I do like the Evo, but I think that the Epic is the best of both worlds.

I’d like to know the answer to this too!
I’m going to be switching over to Sprint in January, but have been debating between the Samsung Intercept, HTC Evo, LG Optimus, and Sanyo Zio.

I say break contract and get an iPhone (for real). If that isn’t an option, at least get a touch screen so internet surfing isn’t so hard. Not a Blackberry fan, but some people like them.

I would try the evo, it is a bit heavy but I really swear by it.

My fiance has an Evo, and it’s pretty neat. I’ve spent a lot of time playing with other people’s iphones and it feels pretty comporable. He has a lot of great apps, and it is pretty easy to figure out.
The only downside of it that I’ve found is that the battery dies quickly…he usually charges it while at work, or while in the car. But, besides that, it’s pretty good, and seems comporable to an iphone.
