- Wedding: October 2015
I’m in full-fledged venue hunting mode this week! Fiance and I are looking at mostly “not actually a wedding venue” venues. This means some parks, libraries, art galleries, etc. Because of this, most of the venues I’m seeing online don’t have “maximum capacity” information, instead they have square footage info. Obviously, I’m going to be calling and stuff, but in case they are willing to but never have had a sit-down reception w/dancefloor, I’d like to know if I should even bother calling them beforehand.
So…. anyone know a good way to determine more or less what square footage I need a room to be? How much space does one round 10 person table take? How big should the dancefloor be for X number of guests? How much space would long banquet tables set up with food/cake take up?
Thanks in advance for any help. I’m so clueless.
