I am from CA and have been living in St. Louis for a little over a year and my boyfriend has FINALY started his ring shopping research so I will be a soon to be St. Louis bride. I wont know a thing about planning this wedding here, which will be my biggest problem!

Where are you guys getting married. I’m getting married at St. Stanislus, and my reception is at the Polish Heritage Center. A one stop shop and it’s beatiful. As far as DIY, so far I’ve done my save the dates, card box, centerpecieces, and garter. What are your DIY projects.

We are getting married next May, but still haven’t found a ceremony venue (posted in separate thread).  I feel like everything is downtown, but we’ve already booked a venue in St Peters for the reception.  How much time/distance is reasonable between the ceremony and reception?  I’m planning to do a lot of DIY but I think I’ll be safe if I wait until 6 months out.

@KarenTag:  would love to know what venue you selected in saint peters… I actually live in Saint Peters, but chose Lafayette Square because it was central for all of our guest and I didnt want htem to have to drive from my church to Saint Peters with the cost of gas.  I looked at renting the city hall as well as the arts center on st. peters howell.
