Hello Ladies!
My sweetiepie and I are not from St Louis, but we are having our wedding in St Louis so its easy for family (it’s the halfway point between his family in Illinois and my family in Missouri) and St Louis holds special meaning for us.
Anywho, we are very religious and it is extremely important that we get married in a church! Neither of us is catholic, and all the churches I have been able to find are catholic.
We need a non-catholic church that allows people who are not members to get married there, and that are pretty. We don’t want a chapel unless we absolutely have to have one.
What are good, pretty, non-catholic, open to everyone churches in St Louis? (We are having our reception at the Old Post Office on Olive st, and since our guests are all from out of town the closer to the reception site the better).
Thanks!

Christ Church Cathedral is very close – it’s an Episcopal church; they might be more open to non-members than the Catholic churches.

My fiancé and I are getting married at Webster Hills United Methodist Church in Webster Groves. It’s about ten or fifteen minutes from downtown (our reception is downtown too). We also really liked Manchester United Methodist Church in Manchester. It’s about twenty minutes from downtown, but it’s an easy drive because it’s right on a highway. We visited a lot of churches, so if you have any questions, feel free to PM me!

We are getting married at Salem-in-Ladue Methodist church. It is really easy to get to just off I-64/40 at Lindbergh. We aren’t members there, we just know the minster (she is absolutely wonderful!) The church is gorgeoous and they have 2 options both a chapel and the larger sanctuary. Good Luck!

Fiance and I are going to look at Church of the Open Word Garden Chapel on Saturday. It’s a non denominational chapel and looks pretty 🙂
A girl I work with got married here because her husband is Catholic and she is not. Check it out!
