Hey! We are going to St. Lucia (Sandals resort) on our honeymoon and was curious as to anyone’s experience with activities. We are staying at the Grande. We are a little skeptical to do a bunch of activities and spend a lot of money…..trying to be budget conscious! Was there anything you spent money on that you wished you hadn’t done? Is there lots of free things that are worth doing through the sandals resort? Anyone done the horseback riding? Thanks!

I can’t offer any help, but I am bookmarking this post for my little sister who is getting married next year and just booked her Sandals St. Lucia honeymoon. 🙂 They are planning to swim with dolphins and snorkel, but I wanted to give her some extra ideas.

@derosa: No trip to St Lucia is complete without getting to see (The) Les Pitons… there are many ways you can do that. Road Trip – Fly Over – Boat Cruise etc. I haven’t stayed at Sandals, but no doubt the Concierge will have info on how to organize a visit.

we went there for our honeymoon, it was nice; we did a boat cruise, it was definitely a must do, it was all day and included lot of stuff—we went to a hot spring for a mud bath that was cool and went to the twin mountains and went all over the coast and snorkelled, and last stop was in a waterfall it was nice; I would definitely do it all over again otherwise you feel too confined on the resort; on the resort you can do boating there called hobiecat (catamaran) if you can sail a boat by yourself, it was free, hubby knows how to sail so we did this; we also did the couples massage, paid extra but worth it to do on the beach with the water around you; also did the professional photography, pics came out great! it’s your honeymoon you will never be able to get it back, so go for it whatever you want to do!

Thanks! My fiance’s friends told him there is plenty to do at the resort without spending any extra money. We have already signed up for horseback riding. I think another good activity would be some kind of hiking where you can see the terrain of the island. We are very active people and wanting to do a lot of activities can add up quick! Just curious about what type of things you can do that are free. My fiance said the hotel offers some free water sports…like snorkeling and kayaking. We will see!
