We went to St. Lucia for our 5 year anniversary and had an amazing time! The island is beautiful and we had great experiences with the people, both on the resort and off.  We went in April and it rained one day we were there, for all of 10 minutes. A rain cloud blew in and then blew out, and that was the only negative about our trip.

I haven’t been to either BUT my best friend is from Barbados so I know she would want me to tell you to go to the motherland haha 💜

Wherever you end up will be great!!

I can’t speak for Barbados, but we went to St Lucia for our honeymoon last April and it was amazing. St Lucia has really a awesome topography with mountains, waterfalls and lots of great hiking. It was a lot more interesting because it wasn’t just solid flat beach. We stayed at a Sandals resort that was all-inclusive, highly recommend!

georgiapeach13 :  This is tough!  I’ve been to both (stayed at Sandals too) and they are both gorgeous.  St Lucia is personally my favorite of all the Caribbean islands, but Barbados was a close second.  If you go to St Lucia, definitely do Julian’s Boat Toar, it is AWESOME!  The volcano is also really cool, and the mud springs, though very smelly are a good time and make for hilarious pictures.  If you go to Barbados, make sure you go to Oistins (it is a short cab ride from the resort).  They have a big fish fry once a week and it’s a giant street party with music, delicious seafood, and tons of dancing.  Barbados also has a great bus system.  I haven’t ventured off resort on many of the islands I’ve been to, but felt completely comfortable jumping onto the buses (more like very croweded vans) and exploring the island.  You really can’t go wrong with these choices!
