- Hi! we can’t decide between st lucia or hawaii! Any suggestions?
Our plan for St Lucia:
3 nights @ Rendezvous- all inclusive adults only, north tip
2 nights @ Crystals- hillside B&B-ish, private pool, outside the capital
3 nights @ Anse Chastanet, southwest side, beach, LUXARY
Our plan for Hawaii:
4 nights @ Big Island: private home rental
4 nights @ Kauai Grand Hyatt
hawaii is is much more expensive, which is why we’re opting to stay at a home rental for the first part- then do it up for the 2nd part!
Anyone have experience With either that can help? They both look so great I want to flip a coin!

save the cash and time on the flight and go to st. lucia. Hawaii is soooo far away! Definitely read uup on the st lucia resorts though- its really pretty but has some sketchy areas. trip advisor has always been helpful in my opinion.

@Jrose34: St Lucia for sure! Logistically and financially makes more sense. Both have beautiful scenery, so I’d opt for closer and less expensive:)

@Jrose34: I think it depends on what you want to do. If you like hiking, exploring volcanos, forrests, wild life… Hawaii. if you want to relax on the beach and do water sports St Lucia-
I say this because because a beach is a beach, why pay more when both are equally beaituful to sit on?

@Jrose34: the grand hyatt in kauai is awesome. one of the most gorgeous resorts i have seen. but st lucia might be more all-inclusive, which helps the bank account. food at kauai is expensive, but there isn’t much else to do outside of the resort.

@Jrose34: and i’d like to add that hawaii is overrated. it’s far and expensive. i prefer the caribbean and will probably also honeymoon in st. lucia.

+1 on what SparkleBee11 said. It depends on what you like to do. My Darling Husband and I are not beach people. If asked to sit and relax on a beach all day we would tear our hair out. So we LOVE Hawaii because there is so much to do. We are actually vacationing on the Big Island right now, our second trip. We have kayaked with dolphins, snorkeled with whales, hiked 15 miles up a volcano and done everything between. It is awesome here and so beautiful. Bit if you just plan to relax on a beach, save your money and go to St Lucia
