Me and my Fiance are going to St. John for our honeymoon (to begin in t minus 4 days 🙂 We looked into staying at the Ritz Carlton on St. Thomas and found that it was pretty much the nicest hotel with the best reviews.  However, we love the fact that St. John is a little quieter and more peaceful. Have you given any thought to Caneel Bay on St. John, or The Westin on St. John ? St. John is a short ferry ride from St. Thomas and would be easy enough for your guests.  Caneel Bay is probably pricey but The Westin may be reasonable. They both offer a good amount of information about weddings on their website.

Good Luck 🙂

Have so much fun Kimbeerlee.  I went to St John on my Honeymoon and it was amazing.  Just as you said, it is so quiet and nice.  Not touristy.

Gidget- I was going to recommend the same if you have not looked.  I stayed at the westin and visited Caneel Bay.  Both are so nice.  St John is quiet and green- so beautiful.  There is a cute town for your guest to visit.

Hi!  Congratulations.  I got married on St. Thomas this year and there are lots of options other than hotels.  There are many beaches available and restaurants where you can host a reception.  In addition, there are many homes available for rent if you want total privacy. I used Blue Sky Ceremony and they cordinated everything for my wedding with about 80 guests and I couldn’t be happier.
