So I’m thinking about getting a plain band to add to my stack of rings. The problem is I can’t really afford white gold right now and there are some nice sterling silver ones but I found a stainless steel one on Amazon for $5.00! How can you beat that?? And I’m not sure if I will like how another ring will look with my set so why not try it out with a cheap stainless steel band? Then maybe get a nicer one later… For reference here is the one I’m thinking about.
Amazon.com: Stainless Steel 3 mm (1/8 in.) High Polish Comfort Fit Flat Wedding Band / Thumb Ring (Available in Sizes 5 to 12), size 12: Jewelry
So can you tell me what it looks like in person? Is it like crazy shiney? Anyone have one?? Pics are welcome! Thanks!

I don’t have a photo off the bat, but I bought that exact ring because it kind of matched my white gold ring better than silver. silver is a really bright white metal, and stainless / white gold are darker. I bought mine to wear on a different finger though, so they’re not right next to each other.
however: be careful– stainless is much harder than white gold. think about it: scissors and nail files are made out of stainless steel. since the band you’re looking at is plain (no prongs or anything) it might be ok. but you might want to keep an eye on it.
by the way: I have that same exact band from sabrina silver. quality is really good! the ring is nice and solid.

Whoo hoo, I got a response! I almost forgot about my post until I saw your response! LOL!
Thanks for the info! I was hoping someone who had the ring would respond! I’ve thought about stainless steel being much harder than white gold. That is part of the reason why I haven’t bought it yet. I wouldn’t want it to wear away my ering. I may still go with sterling for that reason. I do like that the stainless will never tarnish though and sterling will. Can you tell I’m still confused? LOL.
Again, thanks for the info! I will post a pic of whatever ring I decide to go with! =)

Hi! I don’t know about that type of band but I did recently order some birthstone bands to stack from that company and the quality was TERRIBLE. The ring wasn’t round all the way and the metal was uneven. I know it was cheap, but it looked pretty bad. Just wanted to let you know!

Thanks! At least the stainless steel one is only 5.00 dollars. So if it turns out to be crappy quality it’s not a big loss. =)

@MrsCoachBtoBee: that’s too bad!
maybe their rings that have details– such as stones set in them are cheap-o.
but I have ordered three plain bands (two plain flat bands and one band with a groove in it) and all of them were good quality. no rough or uneven spots.
