    omg ALL THE TIME. I hope it’s not considered stalking. I also go over there and look in the windows at how people decorate the space. I’m a creep.

    Oh yes. However my venue was remodeled recently & there weren’t as many photos out there. I’m so happy I chose that place though, it was absolutely beautiful & I got nothing but compliments on it!

    LOL I prefer calling it “research” over “stalking”. Has a much more refined, intellectual tone to it. 🙂

    @TaurianDoll:  I do this!!! my venue has been open for less than 2 years and I constantly google blogs from photographers that have shot at my venue.

    YES. There are no good pics on the website (it’s not primarily a wedding venue) and I want to see what others have done.

    I shouldn’t, though, because it starts bringing out my competitive nature–I have to “best” the other brides. That’s not healthy, but sometimes it creeps in.

    @TaurianDoll:  I definitely do!

    Our wedding is going to be at the Purple Orchid Inn in Livermore, CA and for the life of me I cannot find an indoor wedding reception at this venue.  They’re very popular for outdoor receptions but we choose to hold ours indoors.

    If anyone finds themselves wanting to google someone elses venue please check ours out and see if you can find an indoor reception 🙂

    Thank goodness I’m the first person getting married at my site (private property) so I’m not tempted to do this, because I would be all over it!

    @TaurianDoll:  I am doing this so hard.

    I even stole a few from other photographer’s websites to show to mine. I mean as in places the brides took photos at.

    @geekspice:  haha, I have thought about doing a “drive-by” my wedding venue while another wedding is going on. I hope I’m not a creep either! I wouldn’t mind another bride-to-be peeping in on my wedding!

    I research new photos on a daily basis.

    Oh also! I saw a wedding someone did in the room where we are getting married, that prompted us COMPLETELY to pay for nice lighting. That wedding used the flourescent lighting and it looked bad. Even with that bride’s beautiful decor.
