So bees I made a decision on a stand in band. I am now waiting for it to be sized. I decided to wait on the flower band that I loved so much and I will purchase it as a right hand ring once I’m employed again. I bought a thin 1mm rose gold diamond band instead. The reason being is I can sandwhich it between my ring and the matching band for a little pop of bling in the end. I also can buy others to put in the mix over time. I really like the little pop of pink. I tried a white one but my ring just ate it.
On a note of sadness I noticed about 3 weeks go a crack at the bottom of one of my wings on my dragonflies where that prong meets the basket. Fiance and I inspected it and decided we’d wait till august to send her in when they made the final wedding band. We think it was due to the pressure bending them down. Well I went to pull something out of my purse and it bent upwards exposing the crack almost sheering off yesterday. We called the jeweler they said its still under warranty and this sounds like a manufacturing issue. So atleast that shouldnt cost us much if anything beyond the shipping. We are going to purchase an extended warranty though which will cover future issues, send us a sonic cleaner, cover “spa days”, and any sizing including the beads I’ve been considering putting in. Tomorrow I ship my little friends to be fixed. While they are there I’m having sizing beads put in since my ring is 3/4 big and spun a lot in the winter this too should be covered since we’re purchasing the 5 year care package. I’m also going to have them see if they can match a pair of sapphires or diamonds to her for the outer most stones in my wedding band.
So ladies I’m wearing a stand in and maybe for our June 10th civil ceremony. I am sad :(. I am happy though about the 10th as this is our 3 year aniversary. If I have to get married because of insurance atleast it happened near a day that has meaning to us.
