disneylove:  I went to the Dominican Republic on my honeymoon, wore my rings and had no issues. I love my rings & want to wear them everywhere… except when doing water activities. I left them in the safe in our room. I also have my rings insured so I’m not worried. I’m not super sentimental either so if something did happen, I would be very upset but it’s only a material item & it’s replaceable.

Wear your ring and live your life. Really, no one will take notice. Even in Mexico

disneylove:  I just wear my wedding band on vacation and leave my engagement ring at home. I’ve had no issues with it falling off.

I wore my rings everywhere in Mexico.  When we were at the pool or the beach I just left them in the safe in the room.  No issues.

Stand in rings are stupid.  If you’re worried about theft, no one’s going to know they aren’t real.  If you’re worried about losing them, leave them at home or get them sized better.  Just don’t take them off and you’ll be fine.  If you leave them at home you’re not any less married.

I would just leave your ring in the safe when youre swimming if youre worried about it. TBH in MX if its flashy id leave it in the safe when you leave the resort too.

When I go on trips with watersports/swimming involved I wear my wedding band on top of my ering to “lock it in”. So thats an option too. Not a problem so long as theyre fitted correctly.

I’ve been to Mexico several times with my rings and never had any issues or worries.  There is no point not wearing them if I have them, that’s my philosophy.

we got married in Mexico with our real rings. We have been all over the Caribbean with our rings- they are insured. Why have nice things if you don’t wear them.

    Just insure it and enjoy!

I got a ring cozy for a recent trip to PR. I’m a lay by the pool kind of person but when going jet sking the 10$ invesetment made me feel much more comfortable.

I kept my ring on without it for the whole trip except for the ocean and activity.

Edited to say that I have had a hotel safe robbed and to me leaving my e-ring in it is not an option.

not everyone will assume your ring is real, don’t worry. I would worry about pool or diving, or swimming because of finger size and ring can get lose. get those ring band that ties the rings to your finger on amazon.

I doubt anyone will steal =/

I wore my engagement ring to India and my engagement and wedding rings on our honeymoon in Curacao. The only time on either trip that I didn’t wear them was for water activities (or when I had henna applied to my hands in India), but that was more to keep the ring clean (like during the mehendi) or from losing it/them in the water.

I do have a stand in ring, but that’s more for the times when I need to take my actual rings for cleaning etc. so that my finger feels less naked.

I have a cheap stand-in that I wear when I go to the beach, go swimming, work out, etc. It’s basically a band with very small stones in it, cost me $20 at a vintage store. I feel naked if I don’t wear a ring at all, so this works for me.
