Honeybee0214:  I’m pretty sure I have the exact same ring from Amazon. It is a super thin band but very cute. My Fiance bought me like 6 different rings off of there for like $70 so I could play around with stacking! You can find some decent cheapy rings but it definitely sounds like a good idea to get one if it’s going to be a crazy women’s weekend lol.

Found a pic of it with my e-ring and another cheaply ring I got:

Fiance and I both have stand ins from Qalo for travel. It’s medical grade silicon, so not designed to look like a stone. It’s designed to be better for athletic things, and I don’t want anyone mistaking it for an expensive ring! It was about $15, so if I lost it I could just get a new one.

Honeybee0214:  For reference, my engagement ring is 3mm. Out of all the the cheap rings I bought, the one you’re looking at is definitely the thinnest but it’s very pretty and dainty…so I suggest getting another one or two because…why not lol?!

Honeybee0214:  No problem! I got purple, and love it so much I wish I’d bought a pink and navy one as well (I might still..).

Fiance and I wanted to test them out so we wore them rock climbing the other day and they were great!

Honeybee0214:  I just got back from Vegas 3 days ago and you will be perfectly safe with your rings there.  I guess I don’t really understand the whole travel ring stand in thing but if it makes you feel more comfortable – go for it!  But safety doesn’t have to be a concern, I have a 4.5 carat center stone and have traveled the world with it and never felt anyone else gave 2 sh*[email protected] about it.  Nor should they.  But I don’t take my rings off to swim, workout, or really anything because I figure there is less of a chance to lose them if they stay on my finger.  If you take your rings off a lot than maybe it would make sense to leave them at home or in your room’s safe.  Do what is best for you – btw, have fun!!  Best wishes!

We are hopefully ordering mine this week!  I am looking at a plain white gold band with NOTHING on it.

Foreverblonde345:  For most people, I don’t think it’s a safety issue.  The point of the travel ring is that on vacations, we plan to do activities that are not good for jewelry.  Swimming in the ocean or a pool will definitely damage it.  So can working out, showering, or sleeping over time.  I only wear my ring out in public anyway.  I always take it off at home because I want close to zero damage, banging it on things, etc.  On vacation, I do not recommend leaving it in the room’s safe, because yes, shady hotel staff can get in there and it does happen.  I would rather have the ring at home and have a cheap one that if it gets damaged or stolen or lost, I won’t even care.
