For the ring shopping, I think I’m going to shop for a standalone wedding ring.
See first, I just wanted a small plain band to sit beside my pretty e-ring. But then I found out that due to the shape of my ring I have to get something custom. And then I found out that the custom ring will cost like $800 (even though it will look mostly just the same as the 200 dollar rings….not a very good deal). And so I’m thinking for $800 my Fiance could get me a way better wedding ring and then I’d have a ring for both hands (as I would wear the e-ring on the right hand ring finger).

I have an infinity band for an engagement ring and I’m getting a plain white gold band (with finger prints on the inside) as a wedding ring. I like the idea of having something a little less fancy for trips and outdoor stuff.

I will probably wear mine alone as well. Mine is similar to this one:

My ring is stand alone– it’s a pear shape main diamond with a halo and micro pave stones on the sides. To get another ring would cover up like 18 diamonds! I didn’t want a wedding band anyway… even though now I kind of wish I did at times because i’ll look “engaged” forever. 🙂

I posted this a while ago, but I have a 5 stone engagement ring, and it kicks ass so much that I don’t want to add a thing. It is perfect just as it is. The Bees helped me figure out that I should have it engrave, cleaned, and polished for the big day to make it “new” and not just take it off and give it to the Best Man 15 min before I walk down the isle. 🙂
Honestly, I find myself ooohing and aaahhhing over delicate eternity bands more than the classic solitaire. I just love a row of diamonds!

I thought my ring would be a standalone too. It’s a 3 stone ring and a medium width band.
I love the eternity band (the upcycled diamonds) I’ll be getting and can this way, either just wear the e ring, or wear the eternity band, or wear them both, or put the eternity band on my right hand.
It’s great having versatile options imho.

Fortunately, my Fiance bought my e-ring as a set with an eternity wedding band so the pave diamonds on my e-ring line up with my wedding ring!

alivoo, that is the thing my Fiance keeps saying: ‘I messed up and should have got you a set!’
he blames the ring store for not better informing him
