Any other Battlestar nerds out there? Starbuck and Anders! Silly, I know.
Anyways, Anders is about 10 weeks oop (out of pouch). Got him yesterday from a very good friend of mine. He’s so adorable!
(Before anyone says I should have quarrantined/slowly introduced them, they both very recently had clean bills of health from a vet, and they took to each other immediately, so no harm done!)
Unfortunately, Starbuck is still super super bite-y, and poor Anders is pissed at the world I think. Uprooted from mom and dad, weaned cold turkey, 23 hour car ride – yeah, he won’t let me handle him LOL!
Hopefully, Starbuck will calm down since she now has a friend, and Anders will just adjust and learn to love me. I have hope!
Picture! Anders is on the left and Starbuck is on the right.

Love the Battlestar reference! Um, I’m just wondering do you require any kind of permit to keep Sugar Gliders in the US? Cos here in Australia you require a permit to keep them as they are native animals. Mostly people who have the permits to keep them are people who rehabilitiate injured native animals – they’re not really considered animals that you would keep as pets here, so the whole idea of a sugar glider as a pet is really weird for me! LOL

Starbuck and Anders and not Starbuck and Apollo? Really?! (I think I’m still a little bitter about the finale.) 😉
Congratulations on your sugar gliders – they are super-adorable! Our dogs came with their names, but the next time I get a boy and girl pet I am naming them Starbuck and Apollo for sure.
