It depends on a lot of things… are you ok with renting a car?  Do you want to be based in Paris and do day trips?  Do you want to take trains and stay in different countries?  If so, you could easily do 1 week in Paris, 1 week in London, 1 week in Rome and then do day trips via train to different cities and sights.  Or even 1 week in Paris, 1 week in London, and a week driving around Scotland.

Some suggestions for your time in Paris – day trip to Normandy (D-Day beaches, Rouen, Mont St. Michel), day trip to the Loire Valley, day trip to Versailles, and then the rest of the time exploring Paris (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Musee D’Orsay, Sacre Coeur, etc.)

I would do a week in France (4 days paris, 3 days elsewhere, maybe Burgandy?) then head down to Spain – we loved Barcelona but people also rave about Saville and other small places, before heading up to England. I would perhaps again do 4 days in London, 3 days elsewhere (Bath, Stonehenge, Dover). You get a great sense of the places you are visiting when you head out of the city.

I also recommend airbnb – we did our entire Europe holiday accommodation through there and found some great places! I can happily recommend the Paris apartment we stayed in if you want?

You could do a cruise somewhere in there, see a few more places

@AEMalmostK:  we did this in 2010 only we flew into london and out of paris.  we spent a lot of time in london doing various touristy stuff: westminster abbey, the tower, big ben, jack the ripper walking tour, etc.  we walked or took the tube.  in paris, again, all the touristy stuff and walked to everything.  there are other day trips that will bus you too.

i would suggest googling “things to do in london/paris” and then determine what you want to do.  give yourself some down time to just relax and shop at harrods or check out the pubs along the thames.

Have a look at the Eurostar to get from Paris to London – much nicer than the train!

The train network in the UK is great (although we think expensive!) and you can get anywhere in the UK within a day.

If you like scenery, then try Cornwall, Wales, Scotland or the Lake District, and if you like cities then visit Edinburgh.

If you want ‘famous’ Britain then Bath, Stratford (Shakespeare) are within easy reach, or you could get a coach trip to Stonehenge.

Happy travelling!

I would do a couple of days in Paris, get the Eurostar to London and do a few days there.

Then head out to the great cities. In 2 weeks you could get the 4 hr train to Edinburgh then work you way back south via Durham, York, then perhaps over towards Bath and Bristol, Oxford, Cambridge and back to London.

Or do a few days in Paris, head on the TGV to the coast in France and rent a villa to relax in before Eurostaring it back.

Well I would sit down and decide whether you want a relaxing trip or a “omg this is our only chance to see Europe trip!”

If you are seeing this as a Euro tour- check out easyjet & ryanair (pref. easyjet, ryan air sucks) b/c they pretty much fly ANYWHERE from Paris &/or London.  You could go to Morocco for a day if you really wanted! Its cheaper than trains too.

If you’re looking to relax, I would recommend:

-English countryside- that idealic, having-tea experience (sorry don’t know any places for this)

-Mont St. Michel (castle in France)

-Normandy (D-Day beach & town)

-Bruges/Brussels in Beligium

But really Paris deserves a week (I’ve only been for 3 days!).  Versaille, Sacre Couer, The Seine *gush* its amazing 🙂
