I start a new job tomorrow and I am not excited. I have been dreading it for the last week and now that it is Sunday I just want to cry. Is this normal……has anyone else felt like this?
I start grad school in Sept and I think working full time and going to school will be too hard. I wish I had the summer to enjoy with my daughter.

I worked full time and did grad school at the same time. It was rough at times, but manageable. At least you are starting your first week with a holiday! Plus, most of your co-workers will prob take Friday off too! Good luck and try not to dread it too much 🙂

Thanks! I am looking forward to the short week, I think it will go by fast.
My grad program is 3 hours away and on saturdays, plus I will have to intern about 17 hours a week.
I guess if I find it unmanageable I will just have to quit.

I started a new job about 3 months ago and I was PETRIFIED! First day jitters I guess, i worried about new co-workers and finding my little “place” there. I’ve settled in and am really glad I made the switch. I can’t say much to working and going to school while trying to find time with your kids though. It’ll be hard to not spend as much time with your daughter this summer, but I think if you can prioritize your time, you can de everything you want!

Glad it worked out for you,,,,,,and thank you for sharing, I’m glad I am not the only one conflicted about a new job.

@jessdoxy: I think it’s normal to be nervous about a new job (especially if you’re going to school on top of that). When I moved to my current company, I was a little nervous about finding my “place” there (like @Charliejeorge mentioned) … But I’m so glad I took the job! I love my company, my coworkers, and my boss. I’ve never once regretted my decision to work there, and hopefully you’ll feel the same way once you get started.
