So, I am working on my timeline. I just dont seem to be coming up with much free time for free dancing. I want all the traditional dances, Bridesmaid or Best Man and MH Toast, cake cutting, garter and boquet toss, dollar dance, anniversary dance and so on. My ceremony starts at 5pm. It is in the same location as my ceremony. A 7300 sq feet awesome banquet hall that will be set up to have a center aisle. So i had first thought, ceremony at 5 pics 545 to 645 and during this time showing a photo montage to the guest because i dont have the money for appetizers and such, then 650 announce wedding party 7pm announce bride and groom and go into first dance. THEN about 715 720 start buffet line, eat, toast and cake cutting at 830. Well the reception ends at 11pm. So really that would leave less than an hour for free dance after all the traditional wedding stuff. So i Thought. HOW ABOUT THIS>
Befor ceremony have officiant tell guest ceremony is about to start. After the ceremony the bride and groom and bridal party will be going outside for pictures. Once they are out of the room the staff will be setting up the buffet (which will take ten minutes or less) and then the tables will be released one at a time to start dinner while the pictures are finished up. Im assuming that if i do a double sided buffet, that 120 130 people can make it through the buffet line in 45 minutes so that when we are ready to be announced everyone will be done with the buffet line and seated for our entrance. Then during our first dance, they can eat and or take pics. After our dance the bridal party can then get their dinner. We can do toast and be done eating by lets say if we do our first dance at 7 pm we can plan to do cake cutting at 730 instead of 830. What do you think. It adds an hour to my timeline and allows people to eat at 6 instead of 715ish and it gives my guest something to do while we take pics. I will still do the photo montage for the guest while we take pictures.
