@happybee15:  sorry you’re discouraged with your results.  Getting two embryos is awesome!  I know with ivf it always seems to fall short of our expectations, but please keep in mind, getting only a few embryos is normal.  There will always be people who get 10+ embryos, but you can’t compare because the infertility causes are likely vastly different.  My clinic strongly discourages transferring two at a time, as it doesn’t necessarily increase your odds of success (we are transferring ours separately to give us as many “tries” as possible).

Congrats on getting through the ER and transfer! We did the ER last month. I had 7 eggs and 5 blastocysts, but we only had 2 after the genetic screening we opted to do. I was also super upset about only having two embryos since we want two kids and won’t be doing another retrieval, but I’m making peace with it. I’m about to start my transfer cycle next week and should have the FET in late July or early August.
