flowerkat:  I actually LOVE my work picture, it was taken in my first year at my job. This year they wanted everyone to do new pictures, so that the backgrounds would match, and I skipped out on it lol It’s not often they turn out like glamour shots!

I’m not going to lie, my most recent one turned out great! I feel like it was time though. I’ve had some horrific ones in the past!

flowerkat:  I don’t work in a field where I need one but when I did I had my eyes closed in mine. I had to travel about 15 miles to another department to get it take and then took one photo and bang, that was it. But…. still not as bad as my sisters who for a very pale person was some how yellow in hers and looked like a freaking Simpsons character! Congratulations and good luck with the new job though!

My work badge picture is pretty bad, too. I was in desperate need of a root touch-up when it was taken. It’s also the same picture they use on our employee roster and in outlook. However, they do let us redo the pictures for the roster/outlook, so that’s good. Sadly, they won’t remake a badge. But that’s ok. More people see the roster/outlook picture than my badge picture anyway.

Speaking of pictures, this year was the first time EVER that I got  a really good driver’s license picture! Wish I could have used it for my passport photo. Had that retaken last week since I had to renew my passport. The photo was awful! Terribly lighting at the CVS – made me look like I had really dark circles under my eyes and horrible skin – which I don’t have. So I went to another CVS or Walgreens to have it retaken. haha Still isn’t great, but it’s better than the first one. I hate that you really aren’t supposed to smile – people’s pictures would look nicer if we could cheese a big smile. 🙂

First world problems for sure. 🙂

flowerkat:  If it makes you feel better, I had a great one for years then we got a new security system in the building and I had to get a new photo taken a few months ago. In my new work ID, look like I’m half spaced out, half in shock therapy. I’m gawking into space with my mouth open. Even Darling Husband laughed at it. I look like I’m high on something and very confused.

I hate mine as well and tried to play it cool when I took it. I went with who cares no one will see it.

Too bad later on I found out that we have a visual staff directory and that everyone sees it.
