It’s okay if your colors don’t match the season. Did you meet in summer? You can always say you’re recreating the first season of your love. If that doesn’t work for you, post pictures of what you have and I’m sure the ladies here can help you tweak it.

lanterns can be very fall, especially with a few baby pumpkins or gourds, or on a plate surrounded by red and orange silk leaves. Perhaps you can also recoup some of the costs of what you don’t want by listing in the classified section here or on eBay.

For vase fillers, maybe acorns would work, along with the ivory balls. That, to me, would be quintessential fall.
