So here is the story…I work with a really close knit group of people as we are a very small area….and I have one boss who is our director and pretty much our go to person with anything regarding issues and he comes by once a day to approve or not approve our testing (i work in a lab). I have invited all 6 of my coworkers as well as my director (all who i work closely with every day).
But now I am starting to feel guilty about not inviting my other boss…who i see maybe once a week and for my bi yearly review…he has always been really nice but I just dont know him as well because of how seldom i see him…

If it’s a really close knit group, it may be worthwhile to invite your boss, especially because the 6 coworkers and director were invited.

@EvaBostonTerrier: my other boss is not part of this group…he is the manager for a few different labs including mine…if that makes sense.

@Ms.Teddy: If you are not counting every seat, I dont think there’s harm in sending him an invite. If you are, then he’s not always there so in office chit-chat , it wont be awkward. So, either way you will be fine.

so like your 2nd level supervisor? i don’t see the need to, but if you have some wiggle room, go ahead. no foul if you don’t though

Yeah, it’s probably not a big deal if you don’t, but it would be a nice gesture!
