Hey, I usually don’t mind looking at photographers for people, but there are just way too many here. Can you narrow it down to like 2 or 3 for us? That may be why you aren’t getting any responses yet.

@Shiner:  You’re asking a lot of people to view and study 5-6 websites and give you their impressions and thoughts.  Some peple may respond, but it may take them a little bit.

I think YOU need to like the photographer you are using.  Websites don’t tell the whole story either…..

    –  Ask to see a wedding from start to finish, get a feel for what you will get in terms of quality, coverage, and retouching/processing

    –  Meet with the photographer, see if you click with their personality

    –  Compare packages, and prices, see what fits your needs and budget the best.

    –  Last, find out who the are……have they been around a while or are they a new startup?  Def things to consider.

If you asked 100 people, I think you will get 100 different answers.  I see good photography posted on this site and aweful photography posted, and some people love and hate each.  Someone may like the style of someone better, and someone more experienced with photography may like the one that seems to have the most skill the best.  In the end, as I said before, YOU have to  like the style of what you are getting plus many other things that go well beyond viewing a website.

the trouble is, you could meet some of these photographers and totally LOVE their work but hate THEM. we really liked the photography of some vendors but just didn’t click with them, so we crossed them off our list. finally we found someone whose work we loved and felt comfortable with. i suggest meeting some of them and then coming back here for advice if you still can’t decide.

I actually really like the first one out of all of them. Stylish with classic shots but also some fun trendy ones. Good mix and a lot of artistry.

Hi! I’m in Lexington, so I loved looking at their sites for ideas! I actually have Angela Anderson in my favorites from a Kentucky magazine I saw. I don’t know your budget, but somewhere I saw her pricing (for her…which is MUCH more than the other girl) so I would keep that in mind. That ruled her out for me.

Also, I don’t know what’s important to you but it looked like the first one (I really like that one!) doesn’t include the digital files. I’ve had photographers come out and tell me that’s all I need because I can get the same quality photobooks, print,s etc. elsewhere for much less.

Also, the last one didn’t list if they were a solo shooter or had another photographer. I’ve been looking for places with two to make sure they get everything!

Here is one if Lexington I really like, and I think she has a similar style to what you’re looking for: http://www.marylashbrook.com/index2.php#/home/

I haven’t met any yet (still deciding between here and IN for the wedding). Hope this helps! If you want other Lexington suggestions send me a message I have a ton favorited, I might have a few Louisville as well!

@USER876: OMG, Those images are raunchy IMO. There is boudoir and then there is Internet porn. Those images should be in a password-protected gallery. Not to mention the poor quality and over-processing that went into them.

@the OP, but doesn’t it defeat the purpose if we choose one without looking at all of them? I can’t vote for one being the best unless I look at them all. You have to have favorites among these.

I like Angela — and I don’t mind her boudoir like the others.  I mean, the less clothes and more rauncy, the more your man is going to like them anyways.

I like her style.  I also like the first one as well. I am torn between the two.

@Shiner:  Making things difficult?  I gave you my impression of the photography.  All Raunch aside, those images are very poor.  You did ask, and now you don’t want to hear what people have to say.

I hope you read my intital post, which goes well beyond looking at websites.  Once you narrow it down, try and walk through the steps I outlined to help make the final decision.
