if it was an indoor wedding I would say down but I’ve been to Napa in August and OMG it’s like hell LOL. I say for comfort stay with the updo.

I like the updo you have chosen. It looks very elegant. It will keep you cooler and look a little more formal.

I really like it up, but what is your dress like? That would totally make or break the down to me. haha.

@napabridekelsey: Oh either would be gorgeous!! haha! I’m probably NO help with that, but it’s in the 90s here right now and I sweat a ton just walking outside for a minute. If I were you I’d probably play it safe and wear it up! It would really stink to have to put your hair in a pony tail if you got super hot!

Your hair does look beautiful down, but I agree with PPs that you should wear it up to keep you cool.  Plus, it looks stunning up, too!

Would you consider starting with it up for the ceremony in direct Napa sunlight, and then take it half down for later that evening should it cool off enough? Ask your stylist to show you how to take it down partially…just a thought. Either way is lovely but if you had to choose the safer bet, go all up.

@napabridekelsey: I love your low up do. I would definitely keep it based on the weather alone. I’m not fond of the hair down look for weddings because it seems too casual and not enough thought put into it. I like your up do and would keep. It looks a bit like mine which I wore on a chilly October afternoon for our wedding.

@napabridekelsey: My friend did hers both ways also, her stylist unpinned some of her updo so it was half up for the reception. That could be a way to have the best of both worlds if you really wanted to!

I think your updo looks gorgeous, though, you definitely don’t need to second guess it. If you’re going to be outside for the ceremony, You would probably be more comfortable with it up and you don’t have to worry about it getting limp in the hot weather. I love your dress, too, by the way!

I’m doing side ponytail action because I want the look of my hair down without it making me too hot all night:
