Ok, so I ordered my gown from DB about a month and half ago. Started working out with P90X program at the same time. While I have lost weight in the past, it has NEVER been this much this fast. I am following the workout program and eating healthy so I’m trying to do it in a healthy way. My wedding isn’t until the end of June so I will probably lose more weight and continue to firm up.
So while I estatic to be losing weight, what if my dress is TOO big? How much can they take a dress in? Does anyone know the return policy at Davids Bridal?
Trying not to stress, cause I’m happy about the weight loss but what if the dress is too big?

Congrats on your success, I know that you can usually take a dress in or let it out by 2 dress sizes before it starts to really affect the structure and original design of the gown.

I’m in the same situation….the gown I ordered/tried on in store was a bit too big on me and now that I’m working out more I’m afraid its going to be a mumu. Good thing is they do sell gowns at the rack at DB, so if it is too big they may be able to get you a sample size closer to what you would need.

If I have to get a different size, can I return the one that I ordered? I am glad to hear that dresses can be altered about 2 dress sizes!

@lmorr07: The PP is correct and you can have the dress taken in two sizes (sometimes more depending on the intricacies). Your best bet is to call the David’s you ordered from and speak to the manager about the exchange. There is no official policy other than that they can’t do returns (cash back) which it states on the receipt they had you sign at check-out. Sometimes they’ll exchange for size and sometimes they can’t–it’s kind of hit and miss and depends on the circumstances.
