hatoritory :  I took birth control pills 10 years, and for the last few years I took many months straight through- so, rare periods. A few months after coming off, my periods were super short and light (though regular) and my AMH was only .9. Fast forward 2 more months and my AMH doubles to 2.1, and periods much more normal. Based on that data, I truly think birth control- especially one that suppresses periods- can have a lingering effect and agree with PP who would start using just condoms now.

In terms of removing your implant or going off BC I would really think about how seriously you want to TTC right away.  If you are pretty flexible and going to the more NTNP route I would only take the implant out when you feel like you would be ready to get pregnant.

The guidance my doctor gave me was starting taking a pre-natal about 3 months out and be ready that when you get off BC you could get pregnant that week or it could take a year.
