It’s a very cute, fun, and flirty necklace that I would love to wear with a nonbridal outfit.  With that said, I know you are going for something bold, but I just don’t think it’s bridal bold, if that makes sense…I feel as if it’s work attire or go have fun with the girls kind of bold.  Perhaps the beads are too big for a bridal look?  I could see that necklace with a fun, low cut top with a pair of skinny jeans and heals.

Obviously if you love it, definitely wear it!  I just think you can find or make something that is more bridal bold–perhaps smaller beads (a mixture of matte, pearl, and rinestones maybe) that hang at different levels…all in the upper chest area. That way you sparkle and you have lots of visual interest at your neck/upper chest area.  Right now I look at your neck/upper chest area and think, “WHOA, those are some big balls,” which would be fun with the right going out outfit.  Does this make sense?  Please don’t take ANY offense to my opinion.  You can obviously do what you want, I just wanted to give you some food for thought for another option of bridal bold.

Good luck!  I’m sure you will look beautiful in whatever necklace you decide to wear.

I remember your original post and I didn’t like the picture of the statement necklace you wanted it to be similar to. But… it has turned out lovely! I think the diamante really picks out the light color of your dress! Gorgeous!!!!

It looks too heavy for your dress.  There are some lighter, floatier statement pieces out there that might work better.

I think the color and how low it hangs makes it look too bulky/heavy.  It sits so close to the neckline of your dress it seems to almost defeat the purpose of the sweeheart neckline.  I’d suggest lighter colors and something that comes up a little higher to flatter the dress neckline better.

But, like PPs said, it’s you wearing it, so if you love it then go for it.

I think it’s cute, but the first time I saw it — and commented — I thought that those were beads on the necklace. Ladies, those are NOT beads, but really cute flowers with a rhinestone middle. (Right? Haha)

That being said, seeing it more clearly actually makes it daintier looking because it’s not a big-beaded necklace.

@FutureMrs.Wood: I don’t think those are beads. They look like flowers.

Like this, but in the deep lapis color, but  much more cute.

i personally think that “bridal” is not always the best look. it IS non bridal, but that is what i love about. i think it is amazing, and i love the shape of the beads (is that what they are?) It’s wonderful, and i would wear it with my dress 100 percent!

go for it–you want to express your personal style on your wedding day. don’t feel pressured to go for a traditional “bridal” look. express yourself!

@Mrs.SplatterPaint: Now that I know they are ribbon rossettes I actually like that a lot better then the thought of them being beads. I say go for it!

I love it!! Especially if you’re only going to wear it for the reception, it’s a great piece to transition to the party!
