I’m a little addicted to statement necklaces. Every necklace I have is an eye catcher. I’m probably going to be purchasing this dress this week and I’m curious as to whether or not I’ll be able to successfully pull off my statement necklace look with it. My consultant thought I could pull it off if something like that was already a part of my personality, but I wanted a second opinion. My idea was one of those really long pearl necklaces with a strand hanging down low and the rest wrapped up closer to my neck. Or at least something with pearls.
What do you all think? Would a statement be out of the question or do you think it could be pulled off and if so how would you do it? Or would you change the statement from a necklace to earrings or a fascinator?
Here’s the dress:

I think you can do statement, but I would avoid having anything too close to your neck as it may compete with the collar of the dress (which is amazing btw) what about a long string of pearls with a knot in the end?

I love a statement necklace, but I feel like the beauty of that neckline is the bareness combined with the coverage of the collar & sleeves. I wouldn’t pair that dress with a necklace at all actually.

I would do statement earrings – that neckline is gorgeous and I think covering up the skin would really take away from it.

I think earrings it is. They’re leading slightly in the polls. 😉 I think I’m having a tough time giving up my idea of a huge statement necklace with a strapless dress. I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with a dress with straps and especially not one with sleeves. But I’m starting to warm up to the idea of a bare neck.
Thanks everyone! Awesome as always 🙂
