Hi everyone! I am coming down to the final countdown to my wedding, May 25th is quickly approaching and I find myself unable to decie on my accessories. The dress below is what I will be wearing a light pink tulle sash. I would like to wear a statement necklace, but I’m also hesitant that it could be too much with the dress. The other pictures are my inspriation.
My fiancee and I are getting married at the Wynn Hotel in the Primrose Courtyard around sunset. I would love everyone’s feed back.

I think no necklace or a simple necklace would look best. But, if a statement necklace is what you want, go for it! Could you maybe try on your dress with a statement necklace and see what you think of them together? That would probably be the best way to tell! :]

I LOVE statement necklaces so I vote yes… but only if that’s YOU.

@athena2786: Is the sash in addition to the flower in the dress photo? If so, I think that may be too much… But if the sash replacing the flower, then I really love the first statement necklace but I think the second one has too much going on. Its really hard to see the detail in the second necklace photo and is too busy for my taste. In the first necklace pic, you can see the detail clear and its obvious what is going on. The cleaner the better IMO.

I think your dress is enough of a fashion statement (in a good way!) that you don’t need an extravagant necklace.

That particular necklace may not fall right if your dress isn’t sweetheart like the picture. It might cover too much of your neck.

There would be no flower…just a plain sash.

I thik a beautiful simple necklace would work best with that dress. And some kick-ass earrings!

I normally say yes to a statement necklace…but I’d say not with your dress. I’d say just some statement earrings. I’d leave your collarbone bare with that gorgeous dress!

@athena2786: your dress is stunning. i think putting a statement necklace would be a big mistake. it would be competing with that dress which is a statement in itself. remember, people want to “see” the bride too.
if you must wear a necklace, a simple single strand of pearls would be it.
i just love your dress. it is so beautiful. i can’t wait to see you in it.

A statement necklace would look great, but maybe put it on only after the vows and some pics, that way you have some pics with and without it and can wear it to the reception. Depending on the necklace and your hairstyle, a statement necklace could really help balance out the bottom of the dress and just give an overall decadent look.

Thank you. I’m thinking about wearing my hair like the picture below (pulled back and a little tousled), but I have light blonde hair. Since we’re getting married in Vegas we have decided to not have a “typical” wedding. We will have a close group of friends and family for dinner and drinks and then head out to a night club instead of a reception. I obviously willl not be wearing my wedding dress to a night club…haha.

No to the statement necklace with your dress! Get one to wear with the dress to the reception.

Normally, I love a good statement necklace, but in this case I would say that you don’t need the statement from a necklace to overshadow that wonderful statement your dress is making. I think I prefer a statement necklace on a simple dress– but your dress has the exciting details all on it’s own! If you love the statement necklace, wear it with your rehearsal dinner dress or at the reception.
