@bailey12:  I actually have that necklace (in the second color)!

Just an FYI, the ribbon is actually pretty long and seems to work better with deeper necklines. My only concern is that the bust of your dress is already pretty high. I think a simpler necklace would elongate you, whereas this necklace might cover up too much of your chest/neck area.

@bailey12:  I think something like these (also by Nina) would work well, depending on your style and other accessories.

If you’re absolutely in love with the Melaney, then definitely at least try it on. Just make sure to wear it with your dress so you can get an idea of how the necklace length works with the neckline of your dress.

OMG you just made. my. day. I tried on that necklace when I bought my dress but it was out of my budget. UNTIL IT WAS ON AMAZON for half the cost!!!!! I love it. In my opinion, it would look lovely with your dress.

Great necklace! But I think it would be too much with your dress, which already has quite a lot of detail with the ruffles etc. But for a rehearsal dinner, for sure! And you can always wear it after the wedding 🙂

@bailey12:  Ok, I went and tried them both on. They are really gorgeous in person. The white one is very sparkly and eye-catching and would probably work best with a very plain white dress. The blush one is slightly more subtle. I went ahead and bought the blush one just to see how it works at my next fitting and I’ll return it if it feels like too much.

Given the fullness of your skirt and detail in your dress, I might encourage you to try a smaller necklace. However, if there’s one available at a Nordstrom/Dillards near you, I say check it out just so you can have tried it on.
