So I’m sitting here, home sick from work. feeling sorry for myself with this nasty summer cold. boo hooo. (haha.)
Anyway, it made me think about the wedding. From what I know from friends that have gotten married, the last few weeks before a wedding are filled with stress, lack of sleep (even with the best intentions) and maybe not the greatest eating habits (circles back to the “stress” part).
Those things are a recipe for a lowered immune system. Did you/ do you plan to do anything in particular to try to prevent yourself from being sick on the big day?
There are all sorts of things that could go wrong on the wedding day that I can totally deal with and let roll off my back, but being sick and not being able to fully enjoy myself is like my worst nightmare!

@delovely13: Aww! Well, DH and I were lucky enough that both of us didn’t get sick leading up to wedding day, but we didn’t really take any real premeasures to try not to get sick. I guess I was drinking more water, and trying to get a full night’s sleep. I was so fail on the latter, the night before the wedding I was so excited i couldn’t sleep, lol!

Well, this isn’t a strictly wedding-targeted thing but whenever I can’t afford to get sick, I drink freshly squeezed lemon juice first thing in the morning. Add some water if you find the lemon juice too sour on its own 🙂 A little vitamin c goes a long way! Coenzyme Q10 really helps with my energy levels too. Good luck and I hope you don’t get sick for your wedding, that would really suck!

I was so stressed about this before my first wedding that I made myself sick. Go figure hey!
I’m worried about it this time too, to be honest. We’re getting married in November which is obviously the start of cold/flu season and I usually get a bad cold thing every two years, which means this year will be my year. My plan is to just take care of myself as best as I can. Exercise, eat right, drink lots of water, cut down on alcohol, take vitamins… other than that, just hope for the best!
