I absolutely love the first one!  I am getting married the weekend after you and have the same damask theme in black and ivory.  We will have a really long engagement (four years), so I have had a lot of time to make mock-ups of my stds but haven’t done anything more with them.  I haven’t decided yet where I am going to get them printed, but vistaprint is reasonable.  Also, I am going to make them postcards so the postage is much cheaper when I send them out.

Good luck! 🙂

A couple more reasonable sites that I found are 123print.com and postcards.com.  I haven’t been on them in a while, but had them saved to my favorites.

Did you design the first one yourself or what site did you find it on?

in order of preference.

Draft 10- but change the font.

Draft 1

Draft 2

and

then Draft 9

I understand about the whole, is it worth it thing. I think it will be worth for out of town guests, and I think I might frame ours..

But my bridesmaid looked at my pile of save the dates card and said quite blunty ‘ what the hell are they? and what would you send them out for… I said there for out of town guests so they make sure they can come to our wedding – she looked at me and said… isnt that what the invites for?

I just said, I thought it would be nice! mind you she does have a darn good point. But i put too much effort in to not send them out!

I didnt use a postcard.

I would have been Miss Puppy loves draft 7! I got it from weddingchicks.com

I didnt put them on the red card tho like pictures. Just left them plain and inserted them in turquoise metallic DL envelope with gold handwritten addresses.

I didnt want the guests to actually get my ‘colors’ I wanted to keep that a suprise till the actually invite. Silly I know but it worked for me!

I agree with ccrane. #10 is my fave, but you need a different font.

Not sure what sort of look you’re going for with the font.  I tried the font Bleeding Cowboy, it looked alright, but I think you might not be going for something grungy.  Here is the font Susie’s Hand, with an outer glow applied in black.

I liked 10 but I LOVE it with the Susie’s Hand font JoJo used. It’s so cute and sweet! 🙂

And I know that I’m probably only going to cause you more stress, but should it say where the wedding will be on the save-the-date? Or is that just me?

Will there be text on the back? I agree that you should have the city and state on there. 🙂
