I love them! I think it will be implied for most and you dont need to stress.

However, I am not sure that some older guests will be used to recieving save the dates if they havent been to a wedding in a while (my FI’s grandma was a little confused and mine even said invitation to follow). Also, my 28 year old cowoker got my STD and thought it was an invitation – but you cant fix stupid…

kimmo416:  I have to admit, those are probably the most gorgeous, well-designed STD I have EVER seen!!!   I love them!!!

And definitely not, not a big deal at all to not include “formal invitation to follow”. People know that. You’re good!!!

They look great. I wouldn’t worry about. Save the dates are really popular now. People get it and if they dont they will usually ask someone.

Cute! I think it’s pretty obvious for most of the population that formal invitations will follow when its closer to the wedding.

Nothing to worry about…..

I did not put it on my STD (i accidently forgot and immediately panicked) and there was no issue

I also had a wedding website (address was on the STD) so if there was any confusion I think the website cleared it up…..

Basically the STD is to let people know that a formal invitation will be following…… the invitation will have all the info necessary for the event…….

You’ll probably have some people ask you how they are suppposed to RSVP or what time to be there but they are probably the same people who would have asked that even if you put “formal invitation to follow”!! ๐Ÿ™‚ It just happens.

I put formal invitation to follow on mine and I still had family members calling asking for time and location-telling me it didn’t have any info.

Btw, Love yours !!

Your Save-The-Date Cards are gorgeous! I wouldn’t worry too much about not including “Formal Invitations to Follow” but maybe let your mom know what’s going on so she can field calls from older realatives?

I love that design! Very nice! I just ordered my save the dates ( yeah I’m last minute) and I didn’t put anything about invitation to follow. Plus our wedding website went on the last line so guests can go on there too if they’re clueless. I figure older folks won’t understand what a save the date is but oh well…

I think by now most people are familiar with save the dates and would know there is an invitation coming. If not they will probably just call. Don’t worry about it! BTW- your Save-The-Date Cards are gorgeous!

It’s totally implied, nothing to worry about.  AWESOME card by the way!  I love the photo, the design, the font, everything!  Super cute.

I only had two people ask for details on the wedding (even though I put the website on the STD’s) but we just explained it and they were fine.
