Below is my STD magnet that I got printed from Vistaprint. The look of these actually has nothing to do with our overall wedding them, which is hot pink glitter, glam, bling, etc. I am wondering if it seems necessary that I somehow tie in my wedding theme with them? Like possibly glitter cardstock with some gluedots for better mailing or if I am just overthinking it? I am in the process of figuring out what I want to do for my wedding invitations, and I am set on having those being pink/grey with glitter, so they will definitely tie in.
PS – Let me know what you guys think of these! I was kind of worried about how they would look because i did everything but actually snap the picture of us, but I think they turned out cute!

Hehe they’re fun! My STD magnet didn’t match our theme either but I don’t think it matters!

Our Save-The-Date Cards were a fall theme, complete with hay and pumpkins. We are getting married in June! Definitely not following our theme! I think it’s early enough that it doesn’t have to! Go for it!

Mine doesn’t match our theme either!

@Dareyou42: Those are definitely unique! My Save-The-Date Cards don’t go with our theme either. We’re doing a white/silver/plum wedding – with a decent amount of sparkle (I love sparkle!). The Save-The-Date Cards were inspired by another bee on here and we did Ticketmaster tickets.
I did manage to tie in the theme by creating a holder to mail them in. I layered our colors of cardstock – white, plum, and silver. Printed our monogram and a design that matched our invites onto the white cardstock on top, cut a slit in the middle of it and slid the tickets in. I will be posting pictures this weekend since I’ve FINALLY gotten them all done.

I love this! I’d LOVE to get one of these. So funny. What a refreshing take on the typical engagement picture STD – Not that there is anything wrong with those! We would have done the typical if we sent Save-The-Date Cards. Who cares that they don’t match! I’m assuming your invites will match more.

I don’t think they have to match. I wouldn’t worry about it:)

I love your Save-The-Date Cards. I also don’t think Save-The-Date Cards need to match your wedding theme. I know mine won’t.

Our’s didn’t match our theme. Our wedding is polka dots and our Save-The-Date Cards were baseball themed.

@Dareyou42: I think it’s cute and speaks to your personalities more than something you’d do JUST to go with a theme. Save-The-Date Cards stay on people’s refridgerators a lot longer than an invite, so I think it makes sense to make them something that is more personal.

Thanks for all the input, ladies! I feel better about it now! 🙂

Yeah, our Save-The-Date Cards don’t match our theme really. I was designing them in Photoshop, trying out different stuff. I was sitting in the bed on my laptop, and FH hops in and says “You should do something with foxes”. Since he’s been so good going along with all the stuff I want to do for the wedding, I figured why not. So our Save-The-Date Cards have cute foxes on them, lol.
